Imagine you needing to choose a product to solve a problem and you are faced with several options that, at first, seem to satisfy your need. How to choose one among so many? Wouldn't it be better to be able to count on a system that, based on technical data, quickly and easily shows you the item that will be able to assist you more efficiently, considering the conditions in which the problem is occurring?


With that in mind, FAMAC, with its more than 75 years of experience in the market, has developed a tool that serves precisely so that anyone can identify the most suitable pump model or with the best curve for a given situation. It is a practical, fast and accurate way to select the most suitable equipment. That's cool, isn't it?


Especially because selecting the ideal product to meet a certain demand is a recurring problem in the life of resellers, representatives, technical assistants, designers, engineers, architects... Not to mention students of technical courses and higher in these areas, who need to learn to compare models and characteristics product techniques for decision making.


To serve this entire audience, the Pump Selector FAMAC part of information provided by the user about the installation and the hydraulic system to select and indicate the most suitable product models. The user enters the necessary data and the Pump Selector will indicate one or the best product options from the FAMAC catalog to meet such request.


Complete in features and easy to use, it doesn't need installation, since it runs directly in the internet browser and is freely accessible to anyone who wants to use it! And look how simple it is to access this feature:

You will see that the system is divided into three modules: “General Selection”, “Selection by Application” and “Product Catalog”.

The “General Selection” module is the most generic and you will basically need to fill in the application flow rate and head.

The other information is not mandatory, but if you know it, it is worth filling in so that the system further filters the options and informs you of the best ones according to such specifications.


The “Select by Application” module provides a more precise experience since, to begin with, you will indicate for what purpose or what type of pump you want. See the options that the system presents:

By choosing the application or type of pump in question, you will provide more detailed information, fields with (*) are mandatory. Based on what was entered, the system will size and indicate the appropriate options.

The third and final module of the Pump Selector is the “Product Catalog” that was included to be used by those who already have a FAMAC product in mind and want to consult technical information or even compare more products through hydraulic performance curves.

Regardless of which module to use, after entering the information about the application, you will have access to the pump models that meet the specifications and their respective hydraulic performance curves.

By clicking on one of the lines in the table that appears on the right or even on one of the curves that appear on the graph on the left, the system directs you to a new screen, where the description of the referred equipment appears, with all the details of the product.


At the center are the hydraulic performance curves, which relate flow to height, NPSH, shaft power and pump performance. Just use the scroll bar to see each of these graphs on the screen.


On the left, it is possible to access another range of relevant information: the photo and the characteristics of the product, the dimensional drawings, the hydraulic table, the exploded view, the connection diagram, the product manual, the guidelines on wiring and the list with all components of the motor pump structure.

And look how cool: in this menu on the left, just above, in addition to the SAVE option, it is also possible to fill out and issue a technical proposal, which can be printed or shared. This is an incredible tool for representatives, resellers and shopkeepers who will be able to provide another service to customers who, in some way, need a pumping solution, but do not know how to define which is the most suitable product. That's excellent service, huh?
