Quality tests are essential to ensure proper functioning of pumps, as well as reliability and safety.

With access to information via the internet, consumers have become more demanding, starting to have very high expectations in relation to companies and their products and offers. Add to this the technological advances and the ever-increasing responsibilities that manufacturers have for the products they place on the market, responsibilities that range from the duty of safety (preventing possible consumption accidents) to sustainability issues.
Considering this scenario, it is essential that companies have strict quality control, so that they can guarantee the quality of the manufactured product, its good performance and a lower environmental impact.
Here at FAMAC this is not a problem! Come see how we do to ensure that the best product reaches our customers!
The motor pumps produced by FAMAC are developed to meet the most severe conditions of use. For this, from the conception of the product, the requirements required in each stage of the product's life are considered, aiming to guarantee that the motor pump manufactured is in line with the expectations of the customers.
With this in mind, FAMAC has implemented a new concept of production in modules, in order to guarantee that 100% of the manufactured products are submitted to tests to verify the tightness of the pump, the insulation of the motor, the leakage current of the motor (Hi Pot) and power, thus ensuring compliance and perfect functioning of the motor pump.
Isn't it great to be sure the product you're buying has passed all these tests? This is one of the reasons why reliability is one of the hallmarks of FAMAC pumps!
In addition to the tests carried out in the production cells, in our laboratories we test the performance of the motor pump in different operating conditions, such as, for example, with different levels of load, flow or pressure, allowing to simulate the most varied types of application. It is through these tests that the hydraulic performance curves of each of the models of pumps we manufacture come out – and there are many of them: more than 700 models and their variations in power, rotor diameter and number of stages. It's motorbomb power!
All this is possible because in the laboratories we have measuring equipment and instruments, such as flow meters, pressure sensors and, of course, a with for analysis of the data collected during the tests. We also follow procedures dedicated to the analysis and evaluation of the performance of the motor pumps. In this way, we can guarantee the reliability of the tests carried out and the quality of the products offered to customers.
Failure analyzes can also be carried out on products that present some type of problem, providing support to the Engineering, Production, Quality and Technical Assistance areas in obtaining the root cause of these eventual problems, at any stage of the pump's life. Vibration tests carried out with properly installed sensors can detect misalignment or imbalance in the system and pumped liquid flow tests allow detecting leaks, assembly problems, component failures or failures originating from the installation of the motor pump.
All tests carried out by FAMAC are conducted in accordance with international standards, such as ISO 9906, which establishes procedures for measuring the hydraulic efficiency of centrifugal pumps, watertightness and hydrostatic tests (NBR7882), rotor balancing (NBR 8008) and also tests in motors for analysis of insulation resistance, coil resistance and applied voltage (NBR 5383 and NBR 170940).
The application of these standards makes it possible to carry out a complete diagnosis of the performance of the motor pump, in order to guarantee compliance with the specifications.
FAMAC laboratories are also a fundamental part in the development of new products and in the evolution of existing products. In our laboratories, prototypes of new models of pumps are tested before they are produced in series and offered for sale on the market.

It is also worth highlighting something very important and that makes perfect sense for FAMAC when it comes to sustainability. We participate in the Brazilian Labeling Program (PBE), coordinated by the INMETRO, which provides information on product performance, considering attributes such as energy efficiency. Participating in the program encourages us to develop increasingly efficient products and the tests carried out in our laboratories are essential for achieving this purpose.
